How much can you get?
The instant cash value (determined by us), and (obviously mutually agreed upon) is what determines how much
you can borrow. Additional factors such as past relationships, and liquidity also play a part in determining
the loan amount. For example stereos, computers, bicycles, TVs, and electronics for the most part are very
inexpensive due to many factors. There is however, always a market for good quality, used electronics.
We don't lend much on them, we like them but the Asian currency is amazingly weak against the dollar and
Costco sells everything dirt cheap.
On the other hand your Rolex, Harley, and gold have a larger loan to value ratio. While your
expensive artwork, (while usually welcome), doesn't usually bring high percentage loan to value. It is
simple economics that suggest you should come back for, or renew the $500 loan on your expensive
Rolex you left with us. The economics becomes more difficult however if you were lent $1,500 on the same Rolex.
Yuppie Pawn likes to see you pick up or renew your items. We work on the theory that you originally
purchased your expensive items because you wanted and/or needed them. Common sense vs. bad luck
(because you are borrowing) suggests we don't lend you a lot on your items.
We lend you money for high quality, state-of-the-art items. When your loan is due, you may renew it or pick up your items! If you chose not to renew or pickup your goodies then they are put up for sale.
Sounds mean doesn't it? But it's not. 85% of our customers renew or pickup.
Quite frankly, we make more money if we sell your goods - a lot more! But it's difficult to create
repeat business and get referrals from someone when we have sold their goods. We want and need
repeat customers and referrals.
If you need money now, no BS, stop by Yuppie Pawn today. Out of one shop we make thousands of loans
per year ranging from $10 - $25,000. Need more? Just bring more collateral! Click here to see what we take?
We are a clean, safe, and typically polite shop ready for the opportunity to be of service.
